GL TRANS LLC was responsible for the delivery and customs clearance of televisions from China. However, upon arrival of the cargo, the customs service issued a Customs Value Adjustment (CVA) for our Customer’s goods. This situation required an immediate and effective solution. After all, CS not only caused significant financial losses, but also created dissatisfaction with the Importer himself.

GL TRANS specialists, for their part, took active measures and began to provide the Customer with the necessary support and recommendations for appealing the CVA. After working through the issue and submitting the entire package of required documentation to the customs authorities, the customs refused to return the collateral.

We have carefully studied all the conditions of carriage and documentation, analyzed the stated problems, identified the reasons for issuing the CVA and possible reasons for customs refusal. During the transportation of one of the containers, an unforeseen situation arose – the manufacturer mistakenly loaded several boxes of glue into the container, and we only found out about it when the cargo arrived at the border. In accordance with sanitary requirements, all types of glue are subject to mandatory state registration with the Rospotrebnadzor authorities. The specialists of GL TRANS LLC promptly started processing the documents necessary for presentation to the customs inspector. Letters of guarantee were drawn up obliging us to provide the necessary documents, and thanks to this, our container was allowed to continue moving towards Moscow.

Upon arrival at the Vorsino terminal, a transit declaration was issued for the container for further movement of cargo to another warehouse in order to unload boxes with glue. We have extracted one sample to undergo mandatory tests and obtain a certificate of state registration (CSR). Then we filed a declaration for the main batch of goods, and within a few hours the main batch was released and ready for shipment from the warehouse.

Next, we issued the CSR for glue in 2 weeks, despite the fact that such a procedure usually takes at least 4 weeks. After that, the auto release worked on the cargo and the cargo was promptly removed from the warehouse and delivered to the customer.
